A wonderful event was held on Sunday, July 6, as we headed for the Milles-Îles in Ontario. Under a slightly cloudy skies, the group made up of 54 loyal retirees and guests gathered at Montreal's Central Station at 8am. Departure for Brockville was scheduled for 8:45 a.m. and went off without a hitch. At the station, a bus was waiting for us to continue our escapade.
On arrival, we were warmly greeted by radiant sun, setting the tone for an exceptional day. The meal, served at Brockville's Chalet Suisse restaurant, was a convivial affair.
The boat boarded on time, and the hour-long cruise ont the majestic St-Lawrence River began. The enchanting scenery between the peaceful waters and the sumptuous houses lining the shore amazed the participants, creating scenes worthy of postcards.
Once the cruise was over, we headed back to Montreal, our hearts full of beautiful memories. The return trip went off without a hitch, with scheduled stops in Laval, downtown Montreal and Longueuil, allowing everyone to return home in peace.
