2021 IN A NUTSHELL
We hope health is there for you and your loved ones. The year 2021 continued to present good challenges for us but let us hope for a return to our normal activities in 2022. 2021 has been very quiet for the club but we were still able to hold our annual general meeting on October 5th and finally, our Christmas dinner on December 5th.
Given the circumstances, the Annual General Meeting had to be held in a virtual format and therefore made for a very special experience. Following this assembly, the Board of Directors is made up of the following members: Jean-Guy Cyrenne President, Danielle Prévost Vice-President, Diane Dagenais Secretary, Marielle Latour Treasurer, Lina Drolet, Gaston Desormeaux and Lancy Bruneault as administrators.
As for Christmas dinner, we were able to meet at a new location, Hotel Plaza Universel Montreal. A group of 115 participants (members and guests) gathered there for a delicious meal in a most pleasant atmosphere. It was a great opportunity very much appreciated by the participants to reunite (after 2 years). There was a lot of talk and laugher emanating from all sides. We invite you to visit the website: https//www.retraitesrbcpensioners.ca/ in the (photos tab) to note the atmosphere.
The board of directors will meet at the beginning of the new year to establish the list of activities to come in 2022. We can already tell you that the Christmas dinner should take place in early December.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the current edition of Keeping in Touch issue-2 (released December 1) is available on the Keeping in touch site: https//www.rbc.com/pensioners/keeptouch/index.html.
It is important to note that we are obtaining the support of RBC Quebec headquarters which provided us with a grant of $20,000 for the fiscal year 2021/2022 in order to maintain participation in activities at reduced price.
Looking forward to seeing you soon
