Train of Charlevoix (Québec-Beauce)

It was on a beautiful fall day on October 16th that a group of 37 participants (retirees and their guests) set out from the foot of the Montmorency Falls towards Baie-St-Paul.  The 2.30 hour train ride was very colorful with the mountains on one side and the St-Lawrence River on the other.

Once at their destination, participants had several hours of free time to explore the area.  Restaurants, boutiques and art galeries were visited.

Back at the train station, many took the opportunity to explore François' garden.  There was a delay in the scheduled return time due to a mechanical failure on the train.  Nevertheless, the return trip was made in a good mood.  When we arrived in Quebec City, we were treated to a magnificent view of the falls, all lit up in pink to mark breast cancer month.
